Hello!

I'm Eugénie. I live in a very nice and quiet area in Brooklyn, New York City.

Since I was a teenager, I have been very interested in personal development and self-growth topics. When I moved to the U.S. almost 10 years ago, my desire to grow and become a better person became even bigger. I am so grateful for the opportunity to come to this country.

As my English skills improved, a huge door to all the knowledge on personal growth was opened to me. I've read tons of books, and I still read even until now. I wish I could have more time to read all the books I want to read. It might seem like a little thing, but for me, and considering where I came from, my access to the world knowledge in psychology and self-growth made a tremendous effect on me. I am still greatly thankful for it, especially that I did not have access to the Internet when I was growing up.

Here in the United States, you can have so many opportunities and so many possibilities to create and design your life the way you want it to be and even better. I had so many dreams when I was a schoolgirl, living in a small provincial town. Dreams were much bigger than opportunities. To be honest, I had never even thought that I would meet these incredibly interesting and intelligent people I have in my life right now. I'd never thought that I would see places I've visited and be able to attend training and seminars.

I changed my lifestyle dramatically. I lost a lot of weight and I have managed to keep it off since then. I become more mindful and even more positive than I used to be. I've never thought that I can look so good and feel so amazing as I am right now! I've worked on different areas of my life - self-confidence, wellness and health, social life, work, habits and daily routines, my emotional state and so on- and still continue doing it. I believe it's a never-ending process. The amazing thing is that it is never too late to start making changes in one's life. It only gets better!

Starting a new life from 'zero' had taught me a lot. Going through a lot of positive experiences and obstacles in life, living in a country on my own strengthened my resolve.

I am a happy person, but if you think that I do not have weak moments, then you are wrong. It took me a while to learn how to move on after negative situations and experiences, how to use them in my favor and not being stuck with them. I can share those too.

I started this blog seven years ago when I was writing reviews about weight loss diets. Since my perspective on healthy eating and being active has changed and weight loss is no longer a concern to me, I decided to write about those things that I'm passionate about right now. Those things include healthy lifestyles, self-growth, happiness, New York, New York - the best city in the world, my travels, investing, web design and website optimization, and of course, my new food preferences, which have changed drastically since I wrote the last article on weight loss two years ago.

I do enjoy my beautiful life so much, and I'd like to share my experiences with other people. If this can help at least one person to make his or her life better, I'll already be happier.

Lastly, search optimization and my experiences showing a dramatic change in the main theme of the website can be very risky. However, as Thomas Jefferson once said, “With Great Risk Comes Great Reward.”

I am not a certified psychologist or therapist, and my articles do not provide professional help or advice. What I write about are things that worked for me and my experiences that had positive effects on my life. I write for the purpose of giving information only. I write to inspire and motivate, and to show people that a better life is possible! All changes in our lives are our choice!

Best of luck!

Eugénie Joie
