halloween parade in new york

Going to the Halloween Parade in New York in costumes was the greatest idea! It was absolutely different experience celebrating the holiday in costumes. It was so much fun! It's absolutely amazing how people become more open to each other on the Halloween night. They smile more, start conversations easier, taking pictures with each other.

Do you remember that in my original idea I planned to have a balloon carrot, which I failed to make the day before. It was so funny when I saw a girl in a carrot costume ;) and ask her to take a picture together.

In order to get the best place to watch the parade we came two hours before it started. After watching the parade for two hours we decided to move to a warmer place and continue the celebration. The Halloween night is one of the most craziest night in New York! We weren't lucky last year trying to find a bar in the Village, the neighborhood where the annual parade takes place. All bars and restaurant are packed on Halloween over there.

This year we didn't even try to get into a bar in Greenwich Village. We went to Midtown Manhattan through Times Square which was unusually peaceful and quiet.

We got into bar not far from Times Square and spent the rest of the night dancing. We had so much fun! No more Halloweens without costumes!
